In the recent Vinous newsletter, we receive, with enthusiasm, the latest international recognition of the Fiano by Avellino Docg Terre by Dora 2019 “Ex Cinere Resurgo”: 90 Vinous points, Antonio Gallani’s sector magazine.

We are pleased to take you on a food and wine trip to Castelnuovo di Conza, 670 meters. s.l.m., a village in Irpinia on the border with the province of Salerno. Here, we are surrounded by the well-ventilated hills on which rise up the silent and giant wind turbines, which revolve around the WWF Oasis of Lake Conza. Along the way, you will find the restaurant Villa Flora: an ancient building in living stone, which hides a contemporary room with soft lights and dove grey walls, with an elegant kitchen in Vietri maoliche. A modern character hovers in the air and the cuisine combines traditional flavors with elements of innovation.

You will encounter a seasonal menu that features both the flavors of land and sea.

Among the proposals, in combination with our Fiano di Avellino Docg Ex Cinere Resurgo: 

Gragnano spaghetti with clams, lime and roe of mullet;

Cuttlefish noodles, dressing centriolo and salted lemon.

Two fresh and balanced dishes, with Mediterranean flavors that are well balanced by the flavor and persistence of the flask, a white wine with hints of hawthorn and citrus and notes of almond, apricot and acacia honey. They probably evoke a greeting to the summer, but with a great taste unforgettable!
